Days before Belgium, there were two terror attacks you may not have heard about

The city of Brussels was rocked by explosions Tuesday morning, leaving at least 26 people dead and 130 others injured. Just days before all this, however, there were actually not one, but two bombings you may not have heard about — both in Turkey.
On March 13, a car bomb in the capital city of Ankara exploded leaving at least 37 people dead and more than 100 injured, according to the Turkish health ministry. On Saturday, an ISIS-connected suicide bomber killed at least four in a busy tourist area in Istanbul. Leaving many asking one question about the reaction.

YES !!! (source)

This is a really good time to note that this all began because of the Snyder administration’s long term goal to privatize Michigan’s water system, so that private, for-profit businesses like Nestlé could further profitize clean water, a basic necessity for human life.

Chris Christie has already signed a bill authorizing the privatization of New Jersey’s municipal water system...

Two Big Frauds: I Pretended to Be Pregnant at a Crisis Pregnancy Center

Two Big Frauds: I Pretended to Be Pregnant at a Crisis Pregnancy Center | Crimes Against Humanity | Scoop.it
In reality, however, they’re often the opposite: disseminating misinformation and, in the process, robbing women of their autonomy. And the best worst part of the situation is the fact that plenty of crisis pregnancy centers, in spite of their duplicity, are actually licensed community clinics, which gives them an added air of respectability.

So, in the interest of trying to understand what actually goes on in these inexplicably legal establishments, I decided to go undercover as a preggers patsy.

Amanda Knox verdict: The real evidence and why (almost) everything you think you know about the case is wrong

Amanda Knox verdict: The real evidence and why (almost) everything you think you know about the case is wrong | Crimes Against Humanity | Scoop.it
Today Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito’s convictions for the 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy were annulled, bringing this divisive case to a final close. The verdicts came as shock to both pro-innocence and pro-guilt sides, with lawyers for the defendants openly expressing their fears the conviction would be upheld, and even Knox’s supporters saying they feared a guilty verdict was the only outcome.

The reactions on both sides of the Atlantic will be markedly different; while many Americans may feel the right decision has been reached, in Italy and the UK the reaction so far has mainly been one of stunned disbelief.

Much of the U.S. media has propagated the idea that this has always been a simple case of wrongful conviction: Knox was railroaded by a corrupt prosecutor; she was beaten and bullied into a false confession; and there was no evidence anyway. Or was there?

“In 50 years of practicing law, I have never seen a more one-sided presentation by the media in the United States of the case,” says Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. “Everybody is saying there’s no evidence against her and she’s totally innocent. It’s just not true.”
Deanna Dahlsad's insight:

It's difficult not to feel for Meredith Kercher's family in all this... Was this really justice?
