For many of us this is our summer break, and it is a great time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new one that is quickly approaching. This post provides 20 'actions' that you might want to take to create a more successful classroom. Be aware that while some will take less than 10 minutes, others may take an hour or more. Four of the 'actions' are below.
* Set your classroom up in an "active learning" format.
* Set up a system for make-up work.
* Create a list of "question words" that help you with effective questioning.
* Create a risk reward procedure to encourage kids to not fear mistakes.
Click through to the post to find more information on these actions as well as 16 additional ideas!
These all make sense.
