Le Marche, an Expat Destination in Italy

Le Marche, an Expat Destination in Italy | Good Things From Italy - Le Cose Buone d'Italia | Scoop.it

Il Roccolo Ascoli Piceno is a new venture set up by Martine and David Albon. We have three hectares of woodland on the side of Monte Piselli above Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. In among the mountains, close to lovely hill top towns and great wine producers, great views, great walks, half an hour from the Monte Sibillini and Monti della Laga national parks and half an hour from the sea.
We have moved here from UK with our son George to live and set up an eco-business. We are renovating our house and two smaller houses to rent to visitors, particularly to families. Our focus will be on providing high quality family holidays and doing so in an eco friendly manner. Our aim is to be for visitors by Easter 2013. Eventually we also hope to offer the possibility of an eco campsite. We may have to negotiate with the wild pigs on this one!
We are at Frazione San Pietro 39, 63100, Ascoli Piceno, Italy.

Town after town, there's always something beautiful to see. The people are relaxed and friendly. And the food, like in all regions of Italy, is superb.Gradara is the cradle of the tragic kiss between Paolo and Francesca told by Dante in the 5th canto of “Hell” in his Divine Comedy. This forbidden kiss has inspired so many artists and poets in different periods.
