Le Marche Wine Excellence: Marotti Campi Morro d'Alba

Le Marche Wine Excellence: Marotti Campi Morro d'Alba | Good Things From Italy - Le Cose Buone d'Italia | Scoop.it

Morro D’Alba is a medieval village situated between the towns of Jesi and Senigallia. Here, on gently rolling hills framed by both the Appenine Mountains and the Adriatic sea, lies Sant’Amico, a settlement which dates back to Roman Times.
The winery Marotti Campi was built in 1999 and is represented by Giovanni and Francesca with their son Lorenzo and they are proud to vinify exclusively their grapes. The capacity is 6000 and they use pneumatic press where the hand-picked grapes are softly crushed. For the white wines they use reductive techniques to preserve the vibrant, fresh varietal grape character, we use dry ice during the harvest and azote in the winery to lower the grapes temperature and lessen the oxidation of the flavours. Marotti Campi stores the bottles in a temperature controlled environment at 10-18°C providing optimal ageing conditions. In 2010 we have installed solar panels achieving energy self-sufficiency
The estate totals 120 hectares, of which 52 are vineyards that lie on hillsides at approximately 180 meters above the sea level. The soil is mixed predominantly clay...

Divertimento in Campagna: il Labirinto di Mais di Senigallia | Good Things From Italy - Le Cose Buone d'Italia | Scoop.it

Verdicchio Vespa Tours Le Marche

Verdicchio Vespa Tours Le Marche | Good Things From Italy - Le Cose Buone d'Italia | Scoop.it

Le Marche are composed by a very changeable landscape. Just in a few km, moving form Serra de Conti in direction of Arcevia, the land changes from the smooth hills typical of Marche to more irregular and half-mountain hills. It is the Parco Gola della Rossa, a natural park giving marvellous views, as when you will pass with the vespa right in the middle of a canyon-like rock, digged by the stream water. This water also digged some unique attraction: the Grottos of Frasassi, the largest complex of grottos in Europe, with more than 36 km of linked grottos, and a turistic itinerary of 2 km of rare mineral concrections.

The Verdicchio wine is by far the most well know wine from Le Marche region. One of the two production areas is the Castelli di Jesi area, so the area hosting many small municipalities south east from the city of Jesi. Between a sight to the viniards and a view to the far Sibillini mountains you will easily find time for a wine tasting to explore also the strong and elegant body of the Verdicchio wine, but also another, less known but also interesting red wine, the "chamelion" Lacrima di Morro, a red wine obteined by a red aromatic variety of grapeberries.

The starting point that we propose for every tour is located in Serra de' Conti, just 25 km from the Adriatic sea and from Senigallia. But the Senigallia tour is leading you not just to the "velvet beaches of Senigallia": this is a good reason to visit the city, but the tour is also offering you the occasion to pass some small jewels like Ostra Vetere, Corinaldo and Ostra, small traditional villages with unexpected art and gastronomic resources, as well as the historical city center of Senigallia, still showing off the middle age origin of the city, but also occasion to have some Italian shopping in the many small boutiques of Senigallia!
