A Handy Chart Featuring 75 Educational iPad Apps for Teachers ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

If you are using or planning to use iPads in your instruction, chances are you are already spending time searching for apps with educational potential to try out with students. Admittedly, such a search can be time-consuming and sometimes even frustrating given the over-abundance of apps in iTunes app store.

Here is a wonderful chart featuring a plethora of diverse tools arranged according to the task they are to perform. From web tools to create digital quizzes to note taking and brainstorming tools, this chart is definitely a must have. The only inconvenience I see in it is that the web tools mentioned are not hyperlinked so you need to Google them yourself to access them.

Illustrative Chart on Project Based Learning Vs Problem Based Learning | Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

Illustrative Chart on Project Based Learning Vs Problem Based Learning | Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path | Scoop.it

Project based learning and problem based learning are two didactic approaches to learning that are often used interchangeably to refer to the same thing: engaging students in authentic learning activities. This truism does not always hold true. In a learning task that is problem based, the focus is on finding solutions to the  problem posed  through applying learned strategies and in so doing the process of arriving at the solution is, in and of itself, an integral part of the overall learning taking place . Whether a learning activity is authentic or not does not really matter from a problem based learning perspective because often times 'fictitious scenarios' are purposefully designed to provide learners with a contrived environment to work on their ill-structured problems.

Chart Integrating Maslow Hierarchy of Needs with Technology ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

Chart Integrating Maslow Hierarchy of Needs with Technology ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path | Scoop.it

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a motivational theory developed by the renowned psychologist and humanist Abraham Harold Maslow (April 1, 1908 – June 8, 1970). Being disappointed by the behaviourist theories of the day that primarily focused on the study of problematic behaviour, Maslow took a different turn and did in-depth studies on the motivational part of the human conduct. He explored areas responsible for driving people's behaviour and happiness. For Maslow, any behaviour is a complex act that aim at the achievement of a certain goal.

Awesome Chart on " Pedagogy Vs Andragogy " | Educational Technology & Mobile Learning

Awesome Chart on " Pedagogy Vs Andragogy " | Educational Technology & Mobile Learning | Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path | Scoop.it

Adult learning is a vast area of educational research and probably one of the most complicated. Adults learn differently and have different strategies in learning. Adults Learning Theory and Principles explain in details these strategies and sheds more light on how adults cultivate knowledge.

Talking about adult learning brings us to the concept of Andragogy. According to the article Malcolm Knowles an American practitioner and theorist of adult education, defined andragogy as “the art and science of helping adults learn”.

This chart can change your mindset and unlock new learning opportunities - Learn Egg

This chart can change your mindset and unlock new learning opportunities - Learn Egg | Information and digital literacy in education via the digital path | Scoop.it
This chart helps lay out the basic idea behind changing your mindset. You can use a 'fixed' or a 'growth' mindset to enhance your life. Which will you choose?

What do you do when you fail? How do you approach a new problem in life or in the classroom? You may tell yourself that you already have figured out a way to solve a problem or, perhaps, you’re not going to even attempt to solve a problem because you don’t want to fail.

What if you could change your mindset and figure out a new way to approach learning and life as a whole?
