The PFN_LIST_CORRUPT Blue screen of Death is caused whenever the page frame number(PFN) list becomes corrupted. The PFN is used by your hard drive to determine the location of each one of your files on the physical disk. In most cases, you will experience PFN_LIST_CORRUPT blue screen errors after you’ve installed new hardware or software.
